M.A.C Velvet Teddy Matte Lipstick

Thursday, September 29, 2016

Hello lovely people! Do you like my new blog look? I am absolutely in love with it. I cannot stop stalking my own blog, I know, Imma weirdo. Thank God there was a fairy godmother whom willing to do her magic touches on my blog. Erin! If you are reading this, mi love it so much! So if you are in desperate need of help regarding your blog look, templates, etc turn to Erin and she will help you (in any way possible!)

Enough of that.

So, over the weekend, I went out to IOI City Mall with my sisters (like, finally). We went for a bowling battle and after that we decided to go shopping our essentials. By essentials I mean makeup. I managed to get a new purse and two pairs of shoes at Brands Outlet. Aaaaand FINALLY GOT MY HANDS ON VELVET TEDDY BY M.A.C! I managed to get this lipstick which I have been hunting for awhile but have always been sold out. So when I reached to the M.A.C store, I immediately asked for the Velvet Teddy shade and they were available! So let's hear me rant about this lippie.

The shade is described as a "deep toned beige" by M.A.C. The colour does look different on different people for example on my lips it looks almost like a greyish-brown with a hint of pink (I don't know if that makes any sense but that's the only thing I can came up with huhu)

The formula of Velvet Teddy is matte and it does sneaks into my fine lines but it can be worn comfortably, still. The matte finish means the lipstick lasts quite a long time and yes it stays the whole day! I remember wearing it while I was out for a karaoke and I had fried noodles and chicken stew for my dinner and after finished eating I pulled out my little mirror, tell you what, IT DID NOT BUDGE GURL. I am so happy!

I like the packaging of these lipsticks too. The simple black and silver and the secure lid are both superb! No to mention that it looks like a bullet. Am I right? This M.A.C lipstick in the shade Velvet Teddy costs RM78 (it depends on which shopping mall because the price range could be slightly different) and it is available to buy directly from M.A.C (LINK)

Overall, I do love Velvet Teddy. The shade is a nice subtle nude and can be worn for a minimal look or paired with a dramatic eye look. it is very versatile and such a lovely shade that is great addition to any nude-lippie-lovers collection. I give it 9/10! Mi love it so damn much.

So, have you tried Velvet Teddy yet? What are your thoughts about it? Do you think it is worth the hype? Let me know in the comments! x

P/s: thinking of getting Kinda Sexy and Taupe, too.....

5 Malay Drama Cliches

Friday, September 16, 2016

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone! So, are you a drama lover? Oops, let me correct that. Are you a Malay drama lover? Because you'll be agreeing with all of my statements in this post. Maybe not all. I don't layan drama that much, I prefer movies. Me and my bae would go to the movies almost every week to watch the new release movies. Haha.

There are many Malay drama out there, each with interesting plots, unique story lines, awesome characters, actors and settings. Sometimes, they're just so typical. And let's not forget the crappy titles. But, when it comes down to it, there are some cliché elements that just have to be there to make it a drama.

1. Love triangles
What drama wouldn't be perfect without some kind of love triangle? Some Malay drama would take it up a notch and have more than 3 characters entangled in a love situation. I pernah layan this Malay drama where the girl is like the hottest ticket lah then ada these 4 dudes yang nak the girl. Ugh.

2. The old lover
As if the love triangle wasn't enough, somebody's old lover has to show up a moment to fight for their past love. This has to be in the drama and making the love lines more complicated. I personally hate it but apa boleh buatlah, nanti tak jadi cerita pulak. Ye dok?

3. A family member who disapproves the relationship
If you think the comeback of an old lover is a crappy situation, this one is even more crappy. One of the parents, usually the mother, has to dislike their son/daughter-in-law and try to make their life miserable. Can you not? Why can't you live life happily and not hating your menantu punya potentials? Geram ah. Haha.

4. Rich, very rich, people
Usually, it's the main male lead, who comes from a super rich family or is a successful CEO/businessman. Always make a last minute vacation plans to a very far away places, isn't afraid to buy all the products in a store, bla bla bla. Paling cliché in nowadays Malay drama, I mean, macam tak boleh buat cerita yang hero dia peminjam PTPTN ke? Haha. Asyik yang kaya raya je. It's a loathsome situation, I am getting bored of it.

5. Top of the lines cellphones
It doesn't matter if they're come from a rich or a poor family, everyone has the newest, coolest cellphones. You've got to agree with me ;)

I have nothing against Malay drama though, I just think that people may actually recognize these things as much as I recognize them. Whatever it is, I watch them too, but only drama yang full of quality and worth it lah. Hehe. I hope you enjoyed and let me know what you think. Aaaand any other drama clichés you wanna add? Shoot!

Till then x

Current beauty wishlist

Wednesday, September 14, 2016

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone!

I have been eyeing over some beauty products; be it high end or drugstore. Seriously, is there an end of wanting more makeup? You can have like gigantic amount of highlighters and still want more highlighter. Am I right? So, I thought it would be fun to share some of the products I have my eye on. Let's!

1. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

Everyone has been talking about this mascara. You will never watch a beauty tutorial on Youtube without seeing this mascara being used. I have heard nothing but good reviews and I am dying every single time I read the reviews because I still can't get my hands on this *sigh

2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit

Who doesn't want this freaking amazing glow kit? I mean look at that glow. I have been watching makeup guru all over the world talking about how glorious this glow kit and all the swatches and holy moly I just want to blind y'all with my blingin' cheek bone.

3. The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer

I have been wanting this highlighter for SO long already; ever since the first time it was released. I need to get my hands on this baby because IMO, this is the best highlighter in the world. I swatched it a couple of times and I fell in love. But still can't get my hands on it *cries in Spanish

4. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette

I know, I know. It's like impossible for me to get this but since this is a "wishlist" so bear with it. I want this palette for the sake of its packaging. I mean, look. Come onnn packaging. It's really fancy if I can get this and put it on my vanity haha.

5. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

I want this foundation because of the name. "Stay in place" gurlll, everyone can't seem to skip this foundation in their makeup routine because it does what it says. Enough said.

6. Too Cool For School Artclass by Rodin

I have been eyeing this for quite some time but I can't seem to find it here at my place. It has 3 colours of contour powder and it's matte! And the packaging is pretty cute too ;)

7. Tarte Tartelette Palette

Look at 'em colours ugh. It has very neutral colours and more variation of colour temperature in it. So beautiful, it hurts. I would probably use this palette every day.

So, these are a few products I would love to get! Honestly, there are many more products I would love to share but I guess that's all for now because seriously I ain't stopping if it comes to makeup haha. What are some products you guys interested in? Have you used any of these products? Let me know! Till then <3
